EdgeAudit
For NI showrooms

Answering for showrooms, when the floor is busy.

The floor's busy, your designer's at the table, or you're out measuring up: that's exactly when somebody rings about a kitchen, a bathroom, a tile job or a house of flooring. EdgeAudit takes the call in a local voice, gets their name and what they're after, and has it waiting for you as a text, so that caller doesn't end up ringing the next showroom instead.

Built for the showroom floor

Your designer is with a customer. The phone still rings.

An hour at the design table is an hour nobody's at the desk. Somebody planning a kitchen, a bathroom or a house of flooring wants a voice, not a voicemail, and EdgeAudit behind your own number gives them one: a local voice that takes the name, the number and what they're after, and has it with you by text before your designer is back at the desk.

What actually rings a showroom phone

A showroom phone carries four different jobs and they all sound the same when it rings. Somebody planning a full kitchen, bathroom or house of flooring. Somebody checking whether they need an appointment or can just call in. A fitter or a builder after a price or a stock check. And a customer who already bought, wanting to know where their worktop is or when the fitter is coming. Only one of those four is a new sale, and it's the one you can least afford to leave ringing.

Saturday is when it bites. That's the day couples come in together with the measurements on their phone. The floor is full, your designer has been at the table with one couple for the best part of an hour, and the phone is at a desk nobody is standing at. The showrooms that run on appointments feel it worse, because the whole promise is that the person in front of you gets your full attention.

The other gap is the hours you're shut. People plan a kitchen in the evening and at the weekend, when they're both home and the room is in front of them. So the enquiry lands on a line nobody is answering, and by Monday morning that caller has been round two other showrooms.

EdgeAudit sits behind the number you already have, on call forwarding, so nothing about your number changes. When nobody can get to the phone it answers in a local voice, takes the caller's name, their number and what they're after, and texts that to you as soon as the call ends. It won't quote a price, confirm a lead time, check stock or put anybody in your designer's diary. It takes the enquiry properly and gets it into your hand, which is what the ringing phone at the empty desk needed in the first place. If you've somebody on reception all day and the phone never rings out, you don't need this.

How it works

Live in about five days, behind your own number.

Step 1

When the floor's busy

A local voice answers instead, whether your designer's tied up or the showroom's shut.

Step 2

The details go down

Name, number, the room, and whether it's a product or an order.

Step 3

It lands as a text

Your phone gets it, so you ring back already knowing what it's about.

Honest answers

Common questions

Somebody rings about a new kitchen while my designer is at the table. What actually happens?+

Your line forwards to it on the triggers you set, so it answers on your own number, in your business name. It gets the caller's name, their mobile, what they're after in their own words, the room and roughly what stage they're at, plus anything else we've agreed to ask at setup, then texts the lot to you the moment the call ends. Your designer comes back to the couple at the table, finishes up, and rings the number back knowing what it's about, rather than finding a missed number with nothing attached to it.

Can it give a price, a lead time, or tell somebody a tile is in stock?+

No. It isn't reading your stock system or your supplier's, and a wrong lead time is worse than no answer at all, so it won't guess one. It won't book your designer's diary either. It pins down what the caller's actually asking about and passes that to you to answer properly. The fixed things, your opening hours, whether an appointment's needed, where to park, I write in at setup, and it says those and nothing more.

Is £249 a month worth it?+

It depends on what kind of calls you're missing, not how many. The £249 is flat with no per minute charge, and it's rolling, so a month's the most you're committed to. If most of what rings out is people checking you're open, it won't pay for itself. If just one of those calls a month is a full kitchen, a bathroom or a house of flooring, it covers the year.
