EdgeAudit
For NI solicitors

Answering for solicitors, when you are in court.

A new client enquiry is the most valuable call your firm takes, and it never comes at a convenient moment. EdgeAudit answers the ones you cannot, takes the name, the number and what the matter is about, and texts it to you.

The call you cannot take is the client you do not get.

Somebody ringing a solicitor needs an answer today. If they get voicemail they ring the next firm, and you never learn their name. EdgeAudit picks up, writes down who rang and what about, and gets it to you. It gives no legal advice and takes no instructions.

The first call is the client, and it is rarely convenient

Somebody ringing a solicitor is usually ringing about the worst week they have had in a while. A death in the family, a house sale falling through, a letter they did not expect. They are not in the mood to ring round, but they will, because they need somebody today.

That call almost never lands when you are free. You are in court, with a client, or on a completion that will not wait. Reception is one person and the other line is already going. So a new client enquiry, the most valuable call your firm gets, goes to voicemail and then goes to the firm on the next street.

The assistant answers those. It takes the caller's name, their number and what the matter is about in their own words, and sends it straight to you. It does not give legal advice, it does not take instructions, and it does not tell a caller where they stand. It writes down who rang and what about, so you can decide who to ring back first.

How it works

Live in about five days, behind your own number.

Step 1

It answers the call

In a calm, natural local voice, whenever the line would otherwise ring out.

Step 2

Takes the enquiry

The caller's name, number, and what the matter concerns in their own words.

Step 3

Texts you the lead

So you decide who to ring back first, knowing what it is about.

Honest answers

Common questions

Will it give a caller legal advice?+

No, and that is deliberate. It captures the caller's name, number and what the matter concerns, then hands it to you. It does not advise, does not take instructions and does not tell anybody where they stand. Anything approaching advice comes to you.

What about client confidentiality and data protection?+

EdgeAudit is registered with the ICO under ZC176838. Call recording is optional and off by default, and where a firm switches it on the assistant tells the caller at the start of the call, which UK law requires. Recordings default to 30 days and can be shorter, agreed in your DPA.

Where is the call data actually processed?+

By default it sits on our voice provider's infrastructure and may be processed in the US under standard GDPR safeguards. For solicitors we can tighten data residency, restrict which AI providers see conversation data, and exclude third-party model training. That is configured per firm and written into your DPA rather than promised on a web page.

We get a lot of enquiries outside our practice areas. Is that a problem?+

No. It takes the details of anything that comes in, including the ones you will end up referring on. You get the message either way, so a referral is handled properly instead of ringing out.
