The shape of a working week in Omagh
Monday is the heavy day. The mart is out on the Gillygooley Road, and the variety market runs the same day at the Tyrone Farming Society grounds, every Monday, all year round. That puts a good slice of the West Tyrone farming trade at a ring with the phone buried in a jacket. Pedigree bull sales run March into June.
The rest of the town is admin and health. The Western Trust is the biggest employer in this part of the country.
