Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Call recording is optional and off by default; when it's switched on for a business, the assistant announces the recording at the start (legally required). By default, any recordings and transcripts sit on our voice orchestration provider's infrastructure (Vapi.ai), and some underlying AI providers may process data in the US under standard GDPR safeguards; for solicitor and healthcare clients we can tighten data residency and restrict which AI providers see the conversation data — set up per-client at onboarding and documented in your DPA.
